Sean Collins passed away yesterday (1952 - 2011)

Maybe you would think that this is not strictly canoeing, but all of us who love water (in any place, colour, shape or having-fun-with-it mode), have lost yesterday one of the top referrals: Sean Collins, surfer, meteorologist, founder of Surfline and eternal searcher of the perfect wave, passed away yesterday due to a heart attack while playing tennis in Orange County (California). He was 59 years old.

He shaped his passion into a worldwide referral about wave conditions and weather forecasts. What it started as a periodical report (and an ear-to-ear continuous inquiry from his friends and friendos of his friends...). From 1995, it became www.surfline.com, a web with forecasts, maps, thousands of pics and even live webcams to check best surfing spots around the globe.

Many of the greatest (and not that much) surfers have found their best waves thanks to Sean Collins work. His web is a must if you fancy watersports, a place where you can pleasantly get lost for hours, travelling in mind to dream places.
