Jasper Mocke's European Hat Trick: Done

This last weekend was held at the French Britain the 3rd edition of the Breizh Ocean Race, which witnessed again a solid performance by South African specialist Jasper Mocke, who finishes this way a very succesful European Tour that started one and a half month ago training at Santander (Spain), where he has found a nice base camp for his European seasons.

After his victories at the Ohana Mana Cup of Sardinia and the Greek Aegean Race, this Sunday he got the 2,400 € prize for the winner of the Breizh Ocean Race ahead of Spanish Walter Bouzán and again the Australian Dane Sloss, another surfski specialist who completed the podium.

On Saturday it took place a 6 kilometres prologue to decide Sunday's start list and also for the organizers to check if any of the contestants maybe was not prepared enough to face a possible rough sea next day.

Partial victory in this prologue went to Bouzán, who took a ten seconds advantage on Mocke, while third position was for French Benoît Le Roux, who left in fourth and fifth another two Spaniards: Kiko Vega and Luis Amado Pérez. On Sunday, money prizes were on the table and no. The 19 km. long course looked much more peaceful thatn it was expected (Walter Bouzán was kidding on Friday about the fact that receiving a flare with your number vest was everything but relaxing). The distance was completed by winner Jasper Mocke in 1h11'23", setting again a half minute gap with second place, claimed by Walter Bouzán. It looks like Mocke always keeps a plus forthe last part of the races, which allows him to get those seconds and show a perfect control of the race timing.

Finally, third in the finish line entered Dane Sloss, who also counts as podiums his last European appearances. At these two links you can check all the results of the weekend:
